Prayer Time

I read a wonderful prayer yesterday in Phillip Yancey's book "Where is God when it Hurts". The prayer basically went, "Lord God I do not know what is best. I do not know whether it is better for me to be in health or to suffer, live or die, be wealthy or be in want. All I know is that you are my gracious, loving, almighty God, and that you are in complete control of all things. The greatest thing that I can do is to bring glory to you - through good or bad - whatever you determine is best. What I know is that to glorify you is the greatest good, to reject you is the greatest evil. I surrender myself to you. According to your will may I live or die, be in health or sickness, have wealth or lack, see good days or bad. Bring glory to your Name through this servant. Amen."
