A Gideon story out of Bibb County, AL...seems the school system there had not allowed the Gideons to distribute Bibles for some time. The practice had just changed and a Gideon was speaking in one of the local churches and informed the congregation they would be able to provide students with Bibles this year. An offering was collected and among the money was a church offering envelope containing three pennies and a diamond ring. The Gideon was taken back by the ring and asked the pastor's opinion. The pastor suggested they should honor the offering and make sure the ring was used to provide Bibles.
Somebody should write a song about that.
