Slocomb Alligator

Yesterday a "nuisance" alligator had to be removed from the town of Slocomb. By "removed" I mean he was euthanized. His crime - living too close to a children's day care. You can just imagine the children standing at the fence and saying, "What's that in the bushes?" or "Look over there by the sandbox!"

The gator called a small swamp, on the edge of town, home for over 10 years. "Slogator" was 10 feet long and weighed over 300 pounds. His days of ridding the town of small game and fish are over.

Related note: On the same day a gator was captured in a NEIGHBORHOOD in Enterprise. No water anywhere in sight! It's spring folks...the critters are moving :-)
