Southern Lunch

There's "lunch" and then there's "Lunch." The former fills the stomach and the latter is good for the soul. The River Junction is one of those places. It's operated by four "elderly" ladies, as best I can tell, and they do all the cooking and serving. The place reminds me of going to grandmother's house for Sunday dinner; the food, the people, the atmosphere, all of it. The only difference is the $7 cost. But that's tax included :-)

For those of you not accustomed to a southern lunch, what you are looking at is baked chicken, fried okra, potato salad, corn bread, and home made lemon pound cake. I washed it down with sweet iced tea. I didn't repent but probably should have.
