Peruvian Daffodil
These were given to me by my friend James. He called them spider lilies. I counseled with some older folks and they called them swamp lilies. Eventually I found a picture, similar to this one, on a box of bulbs in Wal-mart. Yes, I guess you can learn something new everyday in almost any place. So here you have it, my Peruvian Daffodils. Swanky :-)
They bloom every June for about three weeks. After that they look more or less like tall green blades of grass. By tall I mean about three feet. They die back when the cold weather gets to them, but never fear, the bulbs are resurrected with a vengeance in the spring.
